there is a place in japan called nara park. basically its going to be my life goal to get here. besides for being beautiful and probably having all the rice and chopsticks i could ever dream of, this is the home to hundreds of freely roaming tame deer!! you can just feed these little guys a biscuit and they will let you pet them. japanese people believe the deer to be the messengers of god. here are some pictures i stalked from someone's vacation there.
My mom definitely does not think that the deer in our backyard who eat her plants are the messengers of god. And she's Japanese! ok, half.
