it makes no sense. why should i have to write a 25 page paper when all i want to do right now and in the future is make things with my hands? i think back to finals time last semester when i was in prague and my classes were a joke and at least during finals it was sunnys and 70s and my friends and i would just lay in the grass by the river and eat sandwiches from paneria. oh those were the days. when i could barely understand what anyone said and would go on random hikes when i felt like it and see american movies with czech subtitles for seven dollars and the man next to you may be smoking a cigarette, but what can you do? they assign the seats! thinking about this reminded me of someone i loved when i was over there and never posted about.
The czech film scene isnt the most happening and there are about 4 actors that star in all of the major films. It becomes really nice when you have to watch a bunch of them because you start to form relationships with the actors themselves beyond just the characters they are playing. You begin to notice their little quirks and the way they interact with each other. Its really nice that you can extract this from the films versus contrived media relationships like robert pattinson and kristen bell, or the other gossip via perez hilton. I actually began to fall in love with one. His name Pavel Liska.
he may not look like much but trust me. he was enough to distract me from writing today. so to give those post some more value than just "oh he is so cute. i have a huge crush on some czech actor." I suggest you go out and rent some of the movies he's in. Return of the Idiot, Something like Happiness, and The Country Teacher are all really great films.
