home invasion stories are pretty popular in the news lately. they obviously have always been around but the idea of someone breaking into my home while i sleep and bashing my skull in seems almost paralyzing. i remember after i read in cold blood  i was simultaneously in love and sleeping with the lights on (not really! night lights are for wimps)
